Novel Forensic Research (NOFOR) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scientific record. Requests for manuscript withdrawal, post-publication corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are evaluated by the Editorial Board in accordance with the journal's publication policies, the ICMJE Recommendations, and relevant Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Withdrawal Requests

Authors wishing to withdraw a manuscript before publication must submit a written request to the Editorial Office at noforjournal@gmail.com, signed by all authors and clearly explaining the reasons for withdrawal.

The Editorial Board evaluates the request and informs the corresponding author of its decision.

Authors must not submit the manuscript to another journal while it remains under consideration by Novel Forensic Research. They may submit it elsewhere only after the withdrawal has been confirmed by the journal.

Corrections

Requests for corrections to published articles are subject to editorial review.

The Editorial Board evaluates the nature of the error, its impact on the scientific content, and any supporting evidence. Authors, reviewers, or independent experts may be consulted when necessary.

When a correction is approved, a correction notice will be published and linked to the original article. The journal's online records and relevant metadata will be updated accordingly.

Corrections will be clearly identified to maintain transparency and preserve the integrity of the publication record.

Expressions of Concern

An expression of concern may be issued when serious questions arise regarding the reliability or integrity of a published article, but an investigation is ongoing or the available evidence is insufficient to justify a retraction.

The expression of concern will be linked to the original article and updated or withdrawn when the investigation reaches an appropriate conclusion.

Retractions

Published articles may be retracted when there is reliable evidence of serious errors, plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, unethical research practices, duplicate publication, or other issues that invalidate the findings or compromise the integrity of the scientific record.

Retraction decisions are made following editorial investigation and in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

When an article is retracted:

·         A retraction notice explaining the reason will be published.

·         The notice will be clearly linked to the original article.

·         The original article will remain accessible in the journal archive and will be prominently marked as retracted.

·         Relevant DOI metadata and indexing records will be updated where applicable.

Allegations and Investigations

Concerns raised by readers, researchers, institutions, or whistleblowers will be assessed confidentially and impartially in accordance with relevant COPE guidelines and flowcharts.

The journal may request explanations or supporting documentation from the authors and consult independent experts, other journal editors, ethics committees, or affiliated institutions when necessary.

Where appropriate, suspected research misconduct may be referred to the relevant institution or competent authority.

If an allegation involves an editor or Editorial Board member, the case will be handled by an independent editor without a conflict of interest.

All decisions will be based on available evidence and the principles of fairness, transparency, and scientific integrity.
